Loving God, / Father of us all, /
we thank you for the gift of life, /
for the love of our parents, /
teachers, / brothers and sisters /
and so many others, /
whose work and care make our life a joy to live. /
We want to thank you, /
for the beauty and the immensity of nature, /
for the living things that make our world, /
for the mountains, the rivers and the seas, /
for the stars, / the rain and the sun. /
We thank you for the family of mankind, /
for women and men all over my country /
and the world, / who although profess other faiths, /
speak diverse languages / and have different customs, /
and colour, / yet, are my own sisters and brothers, /
because you are our common God / and Father. /
As I grow up in school, /
learning from books and teachers, /
help me above all, / to learn to live as your child, /
who recognises, / loves and worships you, /
as the source of all goodness, /
as my protector and Father, /
and at the same time, / to love, / respect /
and care for all my brothers and sisters, /
who are dear to you / as I am dear to you. /
Help me to love, / respect /
and obey my parents and elders, /
be diligent and conscious about my work /
and make my country and my people proud. /
Help me to grow up, / respecting my environment, /
caring for others / and serving others, /
because to serve, is to love. / Amen. /
Thank you, /
Loving Father, /
for what I have learnt, /
during this day, /
for the kindness and care, /
that I have experienced /
from my teachers and friends. /
Help me through the rest of the day, /
in sharing this love with others, /
doing good and shunning evil, /
and at the same time /
being honest with my duties /
as a student / and as a child. / Amen /
We thank you Lord /
for this beautiful day, /
for the sun that warms /
and lights our way. /
For the birds /
and flowers gay. /
We thank you Lord, /
for our parents,
/ teachers / and friends, /
And others / who make our life /
a joy to live. / We thank you Lord, /
for our great Country, /
for its glorious past /
and its colourful people. /
We thank you Lord /
for making us / your loving children, /
Give us the power / and the courage /
to forgive, / to serve, / to love /
and the strength /
to follow good and shun evil. /
Make us instruments /
of your love and peace /
so that the world /
may know / that you are our Father /
and we are your children. / Amen.

We thank you Lord
for the food we eat
Bless my mother
who has packed my tiffin

I am proud to be an Indian. I believe that /
we are all God’s children /
and therefore / brothers and sisters to one another.
I know that / some of my fellow countrymen /
are Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs or Christians /
and they are all a part /
of my own human family.
I pledge to love / all my countrymen /
regardless of their religion or region /
and to do all I can /
to make my country a great Nation. /
I also pledge to respect
my country’s environment /
so that / the next generation /
can live in security and peace.
Promise to do
what I can to help
keep our environment
safe and clean
today, tomorrow, and
in the future.

Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been

Where words come out
from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches
its arms towards perfection.
Where the clear stream of reas on
has not lost its may into the
dreary desert sands of dead habit.
Where the mind is led
forward by thee into ever
widening thought and action.
